If you've tried our , and you're ready to take your loom knitting up a notch give this cabled hat pattern a go. It's a great way to learn a few additional techniques like large cable crossovers, stretchy bind off, and how to create a nice top to a bulky hat.
I designed this hat to really explore what these knitting looms are capable of. I love how it gets away from the usual vertical cabling. Each cable pattern repeat is different so it really keeps you on your toes!

For a Single Color Option: 178 Yards of For 2 Color Option: ~ 90 Yds Bulky, Color A () ~88 Yards of Bulky Yarn Color B ()
The finished hat measures 11½" long by 22" circumference. You can adjust the pattern to make the hat longer or shorter for more, or less slouch. Plus you can also adjust the circumference and use this pattern with a smaller or larger loom for a baby or kids hat.
This pattern can also be knit, you'll just need to use the appropriate size needles to get the correct gauge.
